MISSION - Herlinda?C.?Trevino, 74, entered into eternal rest to join our Lord Jesus on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Mission Regional Medical Center in Mission after a courageous six and a half year battle with cancer. Herlinda?was born on November 13, 1946 to Francisco and Guadalupe Cantu. She attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School and graduated from Mission High School. After graduation, she worked as the church secretary at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Fr. Barrett and Fr. Hennessy. Then briefly at Barrera Supply Co. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Herlinda?was a kind hearted woman that would give whatever she had to those that were in need. She loved spending time with her family, giving advice, and working on nurturing the plants in her garden. She was also considered a second mom/grandmother to many of her children's friends, extended family, and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Guadalupe Cantu, her paternal grandparents, Agustin and Gregoria Cantu, her maternal grandparents, Quirino and Josefina Villarreal, her sister, Gregoria Contreras, in laws Enemencio?Trevino, Ester Mata, and 2 great grandchildren. Herlinda?is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 47 years, Juan?Trevino, her three children, Maria Elena Moreno (Raudel M. Moreno Jr.), Juan Alberto?Trevino?(Nereyda), and Jose Luis?Trevino; her grandchildren, Raudel III (Priscilla), Marco Antonio, Daniel Jacob, Arturo and Kimberly; her great grandchildren, Leyla, Raudel IV, Makayla, and Marco Jr.; her sister, Rosalinda Sermeno (Arturo); her brother in law Reynaldo Contreras; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, January 22, 2021 at Ric Brown Funeral Home from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be officiated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission, Texas. Interment will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Mission, Texas.
